A Quest! Excitement abounds!

We followed the 'stairs to the underworld'...

...sure not to wake the 'sleeping dragon'...

...searching for the 'tree-root riddle'...

FOUND!!! The Quest for the hidden treasures has been complete!

The kids love riddles, quests, treasure hunts, and the like. It all started with the stories of 'The Hobbit' by J.R.R. Tolkien, 'The Acorn Quest' by Jane Yolen, 'A Midsummer Night's Faery Tale', 'The Winter Child' and 'The Faeries at Spring Cottage' by Terri Windling and Wendy Froud, and 'Catkin' by Antonia Barber.

This particular Quest was created by ~M.~ and was a wonderful surprise to us all one morning when we awoke!
