Spider-dove spent 5 hours each day last week at Wild Rose Summer Camp. Each day she came home with many tales...from the magic story in the forest to the mud-oven the kids were constructing together...On the final day, families were invited up to the farm for a celebration...How amazing it was to be enveloped within the beauty of the farm and the radiant shine of all the campers...truly *magical*
And without further ado...
*shine*shine*shine*
the garden gate
little*bear taking it all in
the kids decided to make a 'frog' mud oven
little*bear was *so* excited to enter the tipi
The entrance to the 'magic story' in the forest
Spider-dove is now enamoured of string games
A simply *awesome* giant puppet show about a prince and a princess and a dragon!
after the giant puppet show, the campers and counselors gathered around this string-circle...a hook dangled from it's center, and each person held a piece...
bread that was baked in the mud-oven had been hidden in the field, and it was up to everyone to work together to find the bread basket, 'capture' it with the hook, and bring it back to the table...
Onve the bread was found and delivered, the children took bread and juice to their parents, and then began munching after an exhausting week filled with art, cooperative games, puppetry, and lots of *shine*
in *joy*
